The church is a fieldstone building of the 13th century, situated on the village green. It has a west tower. It was renovated in the 17th/18th century. The tower roof was re-roofed in 1883 and almost a hundred years later in 1980. Since only cardboard shingles could be used in 1980, the tower roof had to be covered again in 1998 - now again with natural slate. The two dates 1766 and 1980 in the weather vane make the changes visible.
The church is a member of the "Open Church" initiative and can be visited. Information and keys are available from the parish office at Mildenberger Dorfstraße 22.
