Hesnæs Yachtharbour

Hesnæs is a small fishing village. It is unique with its distinctive reed covered houses that are not to be found anywhere else in Denmark. The  7 thatched houses are also covered with an insulating layer of reeds on  heir walls to protect them from the often harsh easterly wind. The houses  were built after the flood in 1872 and are rigorously maintained. The harbor is picturesque. Home to small fi shing vessels and is a port of call for many leisure boats throughout the summer. Pomle Nakke Traktørsted.  100 years old Restaurant which is situated in an unique surrounding in the forest on a 10m high cliff overlooking the Baltic Sea and if it is not cloudy you can even see the island Møn.
