Rodeled museum for pottery - center for ceramics and crafts

The oldest pottery in Denmark.

Works as shop/working museum. Situated about 1 km in a westerly direction of Præstø city.

For more than 100 years the workshop with production of good Danish pottery workmanship was driven by the three generations: Hans Peter, Julius and Jørgen Knudsen. E.g. tulipjug, confinement pot, potatoboel and eggdish.

At the death of potter H.J. Knudsen 1990, the pottery was passed into the Rødeled foundation.

The museum is under reconstruction and revitalization. It will open again for guests Friday the 1st of March 2015.
