Dear Cyclist at the Cycle Route Copenhagen - Gedser - Rostock - Berlin

In the brochure for the cycle route you will find drawn maps with a marking of the bicycle route. Detailed regional maps for Denmark you can buy at Dansk Cyklistforbund (Danish Bicycle Organization, telephone: + 33 32 31 21, or Internet address: www.dcf.dk.

1. You can buy route maps covering Storstrøm County and Roskilde County. The map for Storstrøm county will show you the route from Gedser in the south (Route 11) to Vallø (route 14) south of Køge. The price is 60 Danish Crowns. The map for Roskilde covers the route from Magleby (route 14) to Vallensbæk Strand(beach – route 15) south of Copenhagen. Price: 60 Danish crowns. From Vallensbæk you follow the National Cycle Route No. 6 to the Rådhusplads (Town Hall) in Copenhagen. A route map is not necessary – a city map of Copenhagen will be able to help you to the Center of Copenhagen.

2. It is also possible to buy a bicycle map covering Storstrøm county and a map covering the metropolitan area (The counties of Roskilde, Copenhagen and Frederiksborg). The map covering the county of Storstrøm shows you the route from Gedser to Vallø (south of Køge). The price is 60 Danish Crowns. A map of the whole metropolitan area shows you the rest of the route to Copenhagen, the city of Copenhagen and the North Sealand. The price is 169 Danish Crowns.

Unfortunately the route is not yet sign posted in the same way all along the route in Denmark, it is expected to be finished in the year 2002. We ask for your understanding for these circumstances and recommend that you buy the authorized bicycle maps and use them in connection with the maps in the brochure.
